For over thirty-five years, Dr. Brown has been involved in several areas of civil, geotechnical, structural engineering and construction including transportation, land development, housing projects, water resources, water and wastewater treatment plants. He also has significant experience with the Charlotte Water department.
Dr. Brown has benchmarked experience in special inspections, construction material testing, surveying, construction management and construction administration.
He has augmented his work experience with advanced education in engineering and construction management. His studies have included Advanced Shallow Foundations Design with LRFD Applications, Advanced Deep Foundations Design with LRFD Applications, Geosynthetics Engineering, Earth Retaining Structures Design, Analysis, Structural Engineering and Advanced Finite Element Method.
