Engineering Design Technologies (EDT) was selected to collaborate with our partners to provide the City of Baltimore (City) with a multi-year Pipeline Condition Assessment (PCA) program for external corrosion and internal pipeline evaluations. As part of the team, EDT is leading the field effort for the City’s multi-year program, providing services related to the asset management of large-diameter water transmission pipelines. Additionally, EDT’s engineers, geologists and field technicians are providing:
EDT also provides condition assessments and remaining service life analysis. The collection and analysis of asset data involves several distinct steps (i.e., identifying what assets to inspect and determining how to inspect them). Included in this program have been: “hot spot” cathodic protection designs for mains scheduled to be exposed for cleaning and lining, stray current evaluations, periodic monitoring of existing corrosion control systems, soil analysis, failure analysis, corrosion control designs for new transmission mains and construction phase services.
