Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT) was hired by Baltimore County to perform QA inspections after the contractor QC inspections were completed during scheduled hold points. EDT built an inspection and testing plan and followed all aspects of project specifications prior to preconstruction meetings. EDT provided onsite expertise to approve or reject environmental conditions, surface profile, surface cleanliness and coating thickness according to project specifications. EDT’s NACE certified corrosion technician (CIP2) completed a daily QA log and built a deliverable report at the completion of the project. Throughout the project, EDT worked to maintain communications with the coatings contractor, other inspectors and County Operations Managers to maximize efficiency, find resolutions when necessary and schedule meetings. EDT ensured that all safety policies were followed by all jobsite contractors and inspectors.
