Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT), an equal member of a three-way joint venture, was tasked by the City of Atlanta to design and manage the construction of the South River Tunnel and Pumping Station.
The South River Tunnel and Pumping Station Project was constructed as part of the City’s Sanitary Sewer Overflow program in the South River Basin. The South River Tunnel collects flows from existing sanitary sewers and transports flow to a pumping station at the South River Water Reclamation Center (WRC). The tunnel is approximately 9,000 feet long with a 14-foot finished diameter.
